Hi. My name is Sager and 15 years ago my family and I moved to an unincorporated piece of northern San Diego County, California known as Bonsall.
I love this place. The weather is a perfect balance of warm and cool, sunny and shady, dry and wet, giving me the opportunity to grow hundreds of different plants from desert herbs to tropical fruits. It took me five years to work across a rolling hillside acre, creating a dozen distinct garden areas, each with unique plants and climates.
For five years after that the gardens matured and became more impressive everyday. And I sat back and enjoyed it.
Then for five years I let things go and nature gradually took over once again.
Now it’s time to start the cycle all over again and this time I’ve decided to chronicle it with words and pictures. Hope you find it at least a bit interesting.
